Matsushima Bay

A linoleum-block print of Matushima Bay by Yoshiko Yamamoto. Settled on the northeast coastline of Japan, Matushima Bay was one of the hardest hit areas of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. This print was originally produced in the hopes of helping relief efforts in the immediate aftermath of the disaster. 

Our block print  frames are made by Dard Hunter Studios in Ohio using quarter-sawn white oak. Mortise-and-tenon edges, Craftsman Oak finish, Fern Mat.
